Hello everyone I just want to get the word out that unless you want to be lied to, sold a faulty product and see some of the worst rigging work around don’t go to JP Boatworks is Sausalito. I hired him to make me a new back stay which he made too long, told me my hardware was no longer made so he could sell me more stuff and then sold me a faulty turnbuckle. Then when I took it back to be shortened down from 40’ to 39’ 1.5" (a job that would take 15 min max!) I was literally told to “Fuck Off” He is the worst sort of man and it is unimaginable how he managed to stay in business. I am taking legal action as he is now refusing to refund me my money or correct his mistake. I don’t understand some people. So look out if you need some rigging work done and steer clear of JP Boatworks

Topic: Services / New SF Charter Site Looking for Available Captains

Hello everyone,

I have been thinking about creating a charter brokerage site for the SF bay for some time now. When I look around the net, I see that there are tons of charter brokerages but normally you have to email them and wait for them to respond with availability information. This process may be too slow for many people.

My site has a backend phone system that can call captains during designated hours to alert them of any charter inquiries. The captain can then press a button to accept the booking or reschedule to alternate times. The client is then notified of the availability and can confirm the appointment by placing a small deposit (usually this is my commission) online or over the phone. The client can then meet the captain in person and pay for the balance of the booking, then go sailing!

I am planning to run an extensive online/offline advertising capaign in the coming months. If any captains out there are interested in bringing additional clients to their charter company, feel free to shoot me an email.

I am also entertaining the idea of selling this phone system to other sites.

I have certs from the U of H in saturation-Mark V salvage diving, NAUI basic and advanced scuba, basic and advanced seamanship and boat handling as well as 30 years in the automotive machinist industry with ASE Frame and Refinishing, Icar 2000 and Mig welding and I am vested in Local Automotive Machinist 1546. I am a former world class surfer from the North Shore Of Oahu and available at a moments notice for blue water crew for a set price. I can be of help moving from one marina to another or if you just need a hand getting used to a new boat and need practice docking (dont we all) I am strong on structural integrity and have even brought em off the bottom. Tune ups, electrical, bildge pumps, plumbing, fiberglass, wood, frozen engine replacement (I dont do the rebuild) etc. I am single and able to locate anywhere needed.
